Sometimes it's hard to express your passion about what you love because not everyone has that same passion, not everyone will want to listen and very few care. Sometimes being a teenager sucks but this is something everyone goes through the awkward phase where your friend's don't love or support what you do.
Health and Fitness isn't just my passion its my lifestyle.
I was one of those young girls who tried every sport over and over and I never liked any sport I tried, I was young I loved sugar and the ice cream man was the best in the world.
I was self conscious of my body and never felt confident. I was never particularly happy with how I looked when I glanced into the mirror. I started to take up running I wasn't a great runner but I improved over time although I went on a run once a week I never saw changes in my body and wondered why, the reason I never saw changes was because I was still eating large amounts of processed foods.
'You Can't Out Exercise, A Bad Diet'
My Mam was my inspiration growing up she trained regular, ate well and reached the goals she set herself, She took me to the gym where she was training 'CrossFit Tullamore' and since that day my lifestyle and who I am as a person changed significantly CrossFit is my passion.
Since I took up CrossFit I changed the way I look at life, I don't diet I live a healthy lifestyle and train to my full potential. I train 5 days a week after school and I strongly believe when you're in school and you're stressed from all the homework and study you need to take time out.
My time out is going in and giving my workout 100% not everyone has hobbies but you don't need one go for a 30 minute power-walk or go on you-tube and do 10 minutes of Yoga or go for a swim.
My biggest passion now in life is 'Living a Healthy Life while in School'
It is so important to fuel your body correctly, If you fuel your brain correctly you'll retain information better, feel much more energized throughout your school day and study schedule.
Coming up to exams it's important to follow these steps;
-Don't skip meals, particularly breakfast
-Choose healthy meals (MEAL PREP)
-Snack Smart (fresh fruit, homemade popcorn, natural yogurt, nuts and seeds)
-Keep Hydrated (1-2l of water a day)
-Drink 2-3 cups of herbal tea
When you follow these steps you'll also notice a difference in your humor and your performance in sports.
I am so passionate to get more young girls to live a healthier lifestyle and choose a hobby they love and enjoy to do and do it everyday, everyday is a new start so take the opportunity that's ahead of you and give it your all, you'll never be the only one!
